(medicine) with music as avo­cation. Studied piano with Vladimir Drozdoff; composition Paul Yartin. Soloist with orchestras; 1928 joined staff N.B.C., then conductor N.B.C. 1944 to Hollywood composing for films. Works: "Five Aquarelles," for piano; "The Bells of Normandy"; "Homeward Bound"; "Shadows On the Moon"; "Just Like That"; "My Little Prairie Flower"; "Soldier and the Soldierette", "Desert Night."
